Ryan: Human Rights and Democracy

Susan Ryan, Chair of the Human Rights Act for Australia campaign, expresses the hope that the election of a government promising fairness and dignity for all will provide the best opportunity in a long time for the reinvigoration of Australia’s democracy, bringing with it the recognition, codification and protection of human rights.
