Lynch: Human Rights Avoided for Electoral Gain

Writing in The Age December 4, 2007 Philip Lynch, director of the Human Rights Law Resource Centre, recalls that there was a time when Australia was a world leader and active participant in the development and operation of international human rights standards and monitoring mechanisms and hope that such a time dawns again soon.
