Marr: Labor mimics US conservative spiel

David Marr draws pertinent parallels between the NSW attorney general’s increasingly strident campaigning against a Charter of Rights and the way the US conservative establishment has for decades been demonising activist judges. He observes that Attorney General Hatzistergos should be “listened to politely… but taken as seriously as a burglar advising citizens not to invest in bars and alarms”.
