Supporting Statement: Getup!

Getup! supports a national inquiry into the protection of Human Rights in Australia:

If Australians knew that we did not have any firm protection of human rights contained in our legal framework, they would be shocked. Both the government and the population would benefit from a strong and unambiguous rights framework. It’s time to start a national conversation between all of us so that the rights we so often take for granted are not only protected but celebrated.
