Law to bring level playing field

A human rights act would be an important step towards a fair go for all Australians according to Susan Ryan, chair of the Human Rights Act for Australia campaign, in an opinion piece in the Sydney Morning Herald on January 18, 2009.
She goes on to explain how a human rights act or charter would indeed help protect the most marginalised and disadvantaged in society and exposes the misleading claims being made by some of the most vociferous critics of such a charter. Read more:
