This conference will focus not only on the theoretical and policy aspects of a Charter of Rights, but will also look at the practical implications of a Charter of Rights - an essential tool for practitioners to have at their disposal in the years to come.

Speakers will include:

· Professor Hilary Charlesworth AM (Professor of International Law and Human Rights, ANU College of Law)

· Professor David Kinley (Associate Dean (International) and Chair in Human Rights Law, Sydney University)

· Dr Ben Saul (Director, Sydney Centre for International Law and Barrister)

· Kristina Stern (Barrister, 6th Floor Selborne Chambers)

Cost: Attendance (inc. lunch and afternoon tea) at $99 for students, academics and community legal centre lawyers and $149 for practitioners.
